Tennessee Spring Visit
On the weekend of May 11th – 13th 2012 our Programs Director, Nick Schuckman, took off for Nashville to visit our Youth Leadership group from Tennessee. Like all visits, everyone had a blast. All the kids were picked up between 10am – 11am and they headed to IHOP for lunch. After lunch they took a small walk around downtown Nashville and ended up at Laser Quest for some shoot‘em up fun. After an afternoon of laser tag the group took off for some fun and games at Dave & Busters. If you want to learn how to walk out of that place with thousands of tickets and get big prizes, just ask these guys. In the 2.5 hours they were there, the 5 kids combined had about 6500 tickets to use in the gift shop...very impressive! In the middle of the day they also had a conversation or two about issues (sex, drug, alcohol) that these boys might be facing and how they can deal with them, approach them and where they can go to ask questions. It was an AWESOME weekend!
